A Couple of Things You Should Know

The drone arrived a day before it was scheduled to arrive. I picked it up and I thought I'd tell potential customers a couple of problems I encountered. There really are no instructions. There's a few pamphlets thrown in the box with writing so small- you'll need a microscope to read it. Watch You Tube to actually show you how the drone works. You'll need software to fly it and a phone that can download the app. My Samsung J7v would not do it. Any 4G from an Iphone 6 or Galaxy 6 on up- should handle it but I'd check to make sure. So I spent an extra 425 and obtained a new phone. Flying the drone has been fun-my only concern has been obstructions and power lines. Without collision avoidance- I don't want to strike something and crash the drone or lose it. I am very pleased with this purchase except for the glitches that I mentioned.

Great Recreational Drone - For The Price

Hello, I got this drone to practice before I get into commercial drone flying. Here are my thoughts: Pros: ~ Price - that's what got me. There are not many fairly high quality drones with a price $500 and under. ~ Video Quality - pretty decent 2.4 k ~ Weight under 250 grams - no need to register with FAA if used without prop guard ~ Very stable flying in good conditions ~ obstacle avoidance sensors Cons: ~ I think the build quality is fairly fragile. I feel like I can break it if I'm not super careful. ~ Propeller noise - it is pretty loud and noticeable. ~ No audio recording from the app. Even if it were possible, the noisy propellers would render it useless. I downloaded a screen recording app on my phone and it works great while using the DJI app to fly. Even though I have many cons listed, i think it's difficult to find a good quality drone made by a well known brand under $500 and that's why I think it's worth the price. I listed the cons because I like making informed and balanced decisions.

Overall I had a great experience, however, it did take 4 days to ship instead of the planned 2, but I can live with that. The drone was in perfect condition with no issues at all. Make sure that you buy a micro SD card for it.
