Surprised by how good this drone it Rating: 5 So, I went into this with pretty low expectations. I have flown a lot of drones and at this price point AND without a controller, I didn't expect it to be anything special.
I was wrong, this drone is actually pretty awesome.
First, the build in flight modes, work. Auto take off, auto land, tricks etc. work extremely well. It takes off and hovers in place and is so stable it give you the ability to get a feel for the drone. really amazing out of the box.
Second, the control is very good. I generally prefer having buttons ( so i don't have to look at the touch screen). the app was done extremely well, I don't find myself hunting for buttons or frustrated about trying to get the drone to do what i want.
Third, Its easy. bump into a wall, it auto corrects. fly too fast towards an object, let off the controls and it will start to hover. Just kind of does what you want, so it helps you, without so much it feels like its over correcting you.
lastly, video and pictures are good enough. This isn't a 4K camera, so don't expect it to be. but the camera is good enough to have fun with it, take pictures and videos and be able to see them. Also, with the easy controls, i can use the live video stream on my phone to fly it, pretty cool.
overall, really happy, would highly recommend.
I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. by BIGJOE1986 on 2018-04-04T17:00:00 Little drone, packs in some great features Rating: 5 I really enjoyed at how fast and easy it was to set up and get running using my phone. I downloaded the app and quickly was able to connect to the drone. I was really impressed with how easy it was to control. I have played with other drones in the past that had a similar interface the response time was terrible, causing them to crash. The drone itself has a longer fly time than others I have used. it really helps to have a battery life display. This drone is quick and agile with a hovering feature that is helpful (helps with the crashing). I was able to do the tricks listed with much success. I think for the price you are getting a fun toy that is pretty hearty and robust with features. I highly recommend this item. by MisterG on 2018-04-29T17:00:00 Even a 5 year old can fly it Rating: 5 After trying out my friend's Ryze Tello Drone, I decided to grab one for myself. It's super easy to use and doesn't require any assembly which is great. The app works well and made it super easy to operate. So easy that I took it out this past weekend with my son who is only 5 years old and he was able to fly it. Great drone for the price. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. by KaraokeKam on 2018-04-15T17:00:00 Recommend you buy this drone. Rating: 5 Shipping was prompt and on schedule. This is the best beginner Drone one can buy for under a hundred bucks. Photo quality is excellent. Video is a little jumpy but totally acceptable quality. by DronePilot on 2018-12-26T16:00:00 Great Drone! Rating: 5 This was a great drone that I would definitely buy again. For the price, you have a very easy to use drone with a decent amount of battery life to it. I bought this as a gift for my little brother and he really loves using it. I recommend this to anyone thinking of making a purchase. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.” by DroneUser5 on 2018-04-01T17:00:00 Very pleased Rating: 5 First real drone. Very happy with it. Easy to fly. So much fun. by Juan on 2018-12-25T16:00:00 Bang for your buck! Rating: 4 I think this drone, at its price point, is a great bang for your buck. There are other drones out there at similar price points that are either 1. huge and bulky or 2. hard to control when flying. This one is small, sleek, and lightweight. It connected to my iPhone and I could control its flight from my phone. I also like that it can take pretty good quality photos. The only drawback is that it has a pretty short flight time--around 15min. I would take this out on my apartment rooftop for some cool aerial shots, but I wouldn't take it out when hiking or anything where I would want something with a super long battery life. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. by Austin on 2018-03-28T17:00:00 Day one Beginner Drone. Rating: 4 The little drone is as described - fast and almost easy to handle. Took awhile to get my phone to control the unit - then the instructions were too small to read. Thank God for YouTube so I knew what to expect and how to get things to work. NOW for practice. First time you try it - be in an open field because you won't know which way/or how to maneuver it. It might seem to have a mind of it's own. Bumping into walls will shut it down... by loon on 2020-04-26T17:00:00 Recommend with reservations. Great aircraft !!! Rating: 3 I can't think of a better small selfie drone at this price point. Having said that the aircraft is uncontrollable in any sort of wind, low light conditions and over surfaces like water that the VPS can't deal with.
NEEDS AN INDOOR / LOW LIGHT MODE
No SD card on board means streaming capture only. VIdeo is unusable on stock model as delivered. Stills are adequate for personal/family album/hobby use.
I had to buy and configure the excellent Xaomi Wifi Repeater 2 to get usable video. VIdeo is still relatively low quality but usable.
NEEDS BETTER VIDEO FEED AND ON BOARD STORAGE
Past these two defects the product is great within it's limitations. In low wind ( below 5mph is my recommendation, your mileage may vary ) and adequate light the aircraft is self stabilizing and built in pullback and panorama flight routines are clutch.
Since you can get a GPS indoor/outdoor drone in the micro space for the same price can't give this more than three stars. Having said that, and if you are willing to submit to the tyranny that are DJI mandatory upgrades when you want to fly....
Buy this drone.
I recommend this drone as a quality aircraft if one has considered and found agreeable the limitations of this aircraft.
Also, you will need additional batteries and charger if you want more than 10 minutes flight time with the bird down for 90 minutes to recharge.
Got some great outdoor hobby pics and video once wifi repeater was configured and running. Would share but I'm not yet part 107 certified so here is a screenshot of indoor flight which is not currently faa regulated. by Airman1961 on 2018-11-09T16:00:00 every device is NOT compatible Rating: 2 it's a real cool drone with pretty nice features and new user abilities... I give it two stars because it is not compatible with every device and since you have to control drone with you phone and have the live feed sent to your device. well now this is pretty crucial and they do not let you no in the descriptions or even on the package that only a select number of devices are compatible I've got a Brand New Samsung Galaxy Note 9. to which you would figure would be plenty good enough every device to operate the drone but if you cannot do it correctly it will get on the app and it is attempt to fly around but all the controls are haywired that the video screen is terrible formatted with green lines and terrible interference and the pictures will show up in purple and green split in half.
I had to return it. if you've got the selected few model devices that's compatible with this drone then it may be alright I don't really know because I got shafted ! by Latamayo on 2018-12-26T16:00:00 | No reviews yet. |
